Door Opens & Closes, but App Shows Reverse
Issue:
The Door Correctly Opens and Closes, but the Garage Door screen on the app shows them in reverse (door closing, but app shows it as opening).
The root of the problem is the sensor is not correctly measuring when the door is closed.
Common Cause/Solution #1:
- The issue is caused by the sensors not reporting when the door is closed. This is common if the wired sensor and magnetic sensor are too far apart when the door is closed.
- The recommended distance for the sensor is anything less than 0.25 inches (1/4″) when the door is closed and they need to separate when the door is open.
Common Cause/Solution #2:
- The issue can also be caused by a broken/damaged wire, sensor, or board solder joint. If the Sensors do not report closed when the wired and wireless sensors are directly on top of each other, Contact Us for a replacement.
